A top US-based provider of Concierge Display products was looking for a partner who could provide mechanical design services as well as handle the product customization process for their many foreign clients. Additionally, the successful vendor would be required to re-design products for manufacture and generate prototyping drawings.

Challenge

Experienced engineers would be required to offer appropriate solutions inside a brief turnaround time. To ensure that deliveries were flawless, our engineers would need to learn more about the client's manufacturing equipment and understand the process thoroughly. At the same time, we would need to minimize prototyping iterations.

Solution

Our skilled engineers learnt and understood the client's manufacturing process through the guidelines for design and manufacturing provided by the customer. We communicated with the client via tele-conference, emails and web-conference. This helped the team understand the systems, processes, and the functionality of the product. Product training was imparted via a secure internet gateway. Additionally, continuous monitoring of quality was carried out by using computerized programs.

Result

Our team successfully executed this project within two months. Initially, numerous iterations and quality checks were performed to satisfy the client's QA requirements. Over a period of time, based on achievement of a high accuracy rate, the client agreed that only the first stage of every delivery would require iterations and quality checks.
